Dear Friends

We may not have met each other in any traditional sense, but in a world with moon landings, space flight, and the Internet, what’s tradition anymore? No, we’ve not met face-to-face, and most likely never will.

But it’s definitely been a meeting of minds and, at times, hearts.

Shaunta Grimes gave me the courage to call myself a writer. James Finn educated me in the history of our community.

There are countless others too numerous to list, but you’ve all given me encouragement, even hope, in my darkest hours.

Isn’t that friendship? Isn’t that what friends do for friends?

And so I feel comfortable, proud even, to call you my friends.
