I grew up in the heyday of B horror movies: the ‘50s and ‘60s. “IT- THE TERROR BEYOND SPACE gave me nightmares for a week.

But these movies gave me a way to cope with the daily real horrors going on around me: the Red Menace, fear of nuclear destruction, etc. Because of one simple truth: no matter how badly thing went, they were always resolved by the Good triumphing and the monsters being destroyed.
