I just discovered a new text editor. Joplin is an open-source editor built around the Github implementation of the Markdown text formatting specification. It’s available for Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, and Android. (Oh, by the way, it is named for Scott Joplin!)

In some ways it’s a bare-bones editor; for example, it doesn’t have a spell checker. On the other hand, it syncs with Dropbox, so your notes are always updated across all your devices. You can select the automatic synchronization interval to your own…
