Well, I Did It!
I’m Finally An Apple Fan-Boy.
Thanks to a bequest from a favorite aunt, I was finally able to buy a MacBook. After a lot of agonizing over the choices, I decided on a MacBook Air, with Apple’s M3 chip and 24 Gb memory.
I already had been using an iPhone for years, as well as an iPad and an iPad Mini. But I had yearned for a Mac, and finally had the wherewithal to take the leap and go fully into the Apple environment.
Oh, and I also went with the Magic Mouse, as I’ve never liked touchpads. What can I say? At 74, I’m old-school in that respect.
Finally, since I had the money, I also bought a new iPad with the Magic Keyboard.
What I Like the Most About the Setup
I like the ability to jot down a note on my iPhone when I’m out and about and then expand on it on the MacBook. Or the iPad. Or I can take a photo on my iPhone and then have it show up on all my devices.
When I was on Windows I could do the same thing, but there were several steps involved, using several different apps, and I just got tired of it.
Everything is much more efficient this way.
Things I Don’t Like About It
In my various incarnations, I’ve gone through several OS’s (Operating Systems). They’ve included CP/M, MS-DOS, various flavors of Windows, Solaris/unix/linux, iOS, and MAC OS. All of which is to say I know the headaches of…
